Terms of Service

Last updated 2 September 2026

These terms govern your use of exposurelab.app and the Exposure Lab tools. Using the site or activating a key means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to hide things.

What you are buying

A key unlocks all Exposure Lab tools, currently the photography lab, the cinematography monitor, and Light Lab, on one device, with no expiry. It is a one-time purchase: no subscription, nothing renews, nothing to cancel. The free trial gives 30 minutes of the full tool on a device, once. Keys are delivered by email, and shown on screen, the moment payment succeeds. Keys sold before 2 September 2026 ran for 30 days from activation; keys sold from that date on do not expire.

What you may do

Use the tools for learning, teaching, and your own work, personal or commercial. Show them in a classroom or a workshop. Tell people about them, that part we encourage.

What you may not do

Copy, rehost, mirror, decompile, or redistribute the app or any part of it. Share, resell, or generate licence keys. Use one key across many devices or many people. Frame the tools inside another product or service without written permission.

Beta features

Tools marked Beta, currently Light Lab, are young. They work, and they are covered by your key, but their behaviour, content, and features may change without notice while they mature. If a Beta tool misbehaves, tell us at [email protected] and we will fix it.

What the tools are

Exposure Lab is an educational instrument. Its photographs and scene loops are photorealistic, AI-generated imagery, calibrated for teaching; its metering, optics, and light behaviour are computed from real physics. The product's code is written with AI.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep the site up and the tools improving. We may update, add, or retire features. If we ever retire something you paid for, we will make it right, see the refund policy.

No warranty, limited liability

Exposure Lab is provided as is. It simulates cameras and lights faithfully, but it is not a substitute for professional metering on a paid shoot, and we are not liable for decisions made on set. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Disputes fall to the courts of the seller's place of business in India.
